COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTEER WORK Tom and I have lived in Clifton Park for about 28 years now. We raised three wonderful boys in this great family community. Our boys are currently 26, 24 and 21. All of the boys enjoyed Shenendehowa High School, played sports, and were very involved with the school and all of the extra-curricular activities. We also both volunteered whenever we could, and played a big role in our children’s lives.
Not only is Clifton Park a wonderful area to raise a family, but they also offer just about every activity you can possibly think of, and classes to peak most interests on subjects you never thought imaginable. Every type of club to stimulate children's interests, sports, both through Shen and recreational, after school programs, and the senior citizens are never forgotten! Our senior citizens remain very active with an exciting schedule that keeps them very involved in the community. Always check www.cliftonpark.org for upcoming activities.
We even hold the Babe Ruth World Series here in Clifton Park. Tom managed the entire housing program for the Clifton Park World Series. He found wonderful local families to open up their homes to hundreds of boys around the country. Teri truly enjoyed hosting boys from Louisiana one year, and Mississippi another year. We figured, what's a few more boys!!! Tom has coached recreational baseball and basketball. Teri helped manage the baseball concession stands for many years. You will find the Cranston Family name sketched in cement for helping build the Clifton Commons Wooden Park and Play area. Teri volunteered in the Shenendehowa High School Continuing Education Internship Program, and shared her time teaching a student the different aspects of real estate.
